Installing Spring Roo 1.2.2

Step 1: Download the Roo zip file from http://www.springsource.org/spring-roo

Step 2: Unzip the .zip file to a directory say $ROO_HOME

Step 3: Add $ROO_HOME/bin/roo.sh to your path. Alternatively create a symbolic link under /usr/bin as follows

ln -s $ROO_HOME/bin/roo.sh /usr/bin/roo

Step 4: Verify the installation by launching Roo.

$roo

   / __ \/ __ \/ __ \ 
  / /_/ / / / / / / / 
 / _, _/ /_/ / /_/ /  
/_/ |_|\____/\____/    1.2.2.RELEASE [rev 7d75659]
